Delete your account

Last updated October 24, 2026 · BudgetLab+ is made by Lab Architect.

You can delete your BudgetLab+ account and its data at any time: in the app on iPhone, iPad or Android, in the web app, or by email if you can’t sign in any more.

In the app (immediate)

  1. Open BudgetLab+ on your phone or tablet, or go to app.budgetlabplus.com, and sign in to the account you want to delete.
  2. Open Settings & household (the gear at the top of the screen on a phone).
  3. In the Account card, tap Delete account.
  4. Read the message and tap Delete account again to confirm.

The account is deleted at once and you are signed out. This can’t be undone.

Deleting the account does not cancel a Premium subscription. Cancel it first in Google Play (Play Store › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions) or in your Apple ID settings on iPhone or iPad.

By email

If you uninstalled the app or can’t sign in, email [email protected] with the subject “Account deletion request” and the email address of the account. Send it from that address if you can; otherwise we reply to the account’s address to confirm before deleting anything. We act on requests within a few business days, and always within 30 days. Never send your password: we will never ask for it.

What is deleted

  • Your account: email address, name, sign-in links to Apple or Google, and every sign-in session.
  • Your bank links: we delete the encrypted Plaid token or SimpleFIN link at once and stop importing; for a Plaid bank we also tell Plaid to delete the connection.
  • If you were the only member of your household, the household’s whole budget: plans, lines, accounts, transactions, payees and notes. If a partner is still a member, the shared budget stays with them.
  • Deleted data leaves our backups within 30 days.

What is kept

  • A small record that an account was deleted (a one-way hash, not your email), and the hashed security logs described in the privacy policy, to protect the service from abuse.
  • The app store keeps its own purchase records for any subscription; we can’t delete those.
